Guardians of the Galaxy

Earthian Peter Quill steals a mysterious orb from outer space. Ronan the Accuser starts a man hunt to fetch Quill. Circumstances lead to an unlikely partnership between a bunch of misfits. They (try to) work together to bring Ronan's evil plan of taking over the universe, to an end.

It's cool, funny and has plenty of action and adventure. The movie has all the ingredients of a commercial entertainer, true comic book style.
All the characters are likable and the friendly banters between them are very entertaining. The movie did not take itself too seriously (the way Peter Quill distracts Ronan in the climax) and it was a plus.
Rocket was my favorite character. His witty dialogues, his rapport with Groot and pretty much everything about him was awesome! At the movie hall, the loudest cheer for a character's introduction was for Dave Batista, thanks to WWE's popularity here in India.
I still could not believe that they officially credited Vin Diesel for voicing Groot. I am not sure how much he was paid, but it must have been a very tough job!
Also the operator at the movie theater cut the movie mid-way through the credits. So missed watching Howard the Duck's cameo with the Collector.
Overall, a very nice entertainer and makes me look forward to the next film in the franchise.

As a bonus, here is something I came across - A collection of Marvel's all end-credit scenes beginning with Iron Man in 2008
